Mubasher: GFH Financial Group has appointed Ghazi Al Hajeri as the group's Chairman effective 4 April 2022 and Edris Al Rafi as Vice Chairman.

Al Hajeri, who has occupied the position of Vice Chairman since July 2021, has succeeded Jassim Al Seddiqi, according to a press release on Tuesday.

With a 21-year experience in the investment industry, Al Hajeri is the CEO of Wafra International Investment Company, a Kuwait-based asset management company.

 Al Hajeri held the position of Deputy CEO at Touristic Enterprises Co., owned by the Kuwait Investment Authority.

Al Hajeri said: "The Group has effectively navigated challenging global market conditions and strengthened the foundations upon which it will continue to deliver value for shareholders and investors."
